Jakob Ingebrigtsen is 20-year-old athlete, born in Sandnes, Norway. His first international debut was at the World Junior Championships in 2016 in Bydgoszcz. Ingebrigtsen specialises in the middle-distance and cross country runs. He achieved first senior success at the European Championships in Berlin 2018, when he became the double champion in the 1500m and 5000m. During the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow he was second in the 1500m and first in the 3000m. Meanwhile, Ingebrigtsen successfully competes in the junior and cross country championships. In 2020 Ingebrigtsen competed in three outdoor meetings at three different distances – 5000m, 2000m and 800m.
